Personal profile

Research Interests

My research explores architecture and materiality from a humanities perspective.

I am particularly interested in how spatial and material aspects of architecture evoke empathy, emotion, and experience within communicative and interpretive contexts, and how these aspects create meaning for different actors and stakeholders. This includes, for example, the mediation of cultural and natural heritage through contemporary architecture and design, where architecture and narratives are interwoven.

I am affiliated with the research programme Design Culture at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).
