Personal profile

Research areas

I am a historian by training and my work focuses on the history and development of healthcare, public health and welfare after World War II.

My current project, “The use of age criteria in the health sector” centers on ageism and age as an allocation criterion in Danish hospitals since 1970.

In my previous PhD project, I analyze the political and scientific process that led to Denmark adopting the measles-mumps-rubella vaccination in 1987. The dissertation focuses on the construction of problems and solutions in relation to disease and vaccination in the policymaking process.
