Personal profile

Research Interests

I am an associate professor at the Hans Christian Andersen Centre and PI of the digital scientific edition of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale manuscripts. This large project involves describing, transcribing, XML-tagging, and writing research articles about the preserved manuscripts of the canonical fairy tales. You can learn more at www.hca.sdu.dk/manus.

My research focuses on the creative processes and artistic approaches evident in Andersen's work. I explore how edition philology and Genetic Criticism can interact with other textual and literary studies. Additionally, I am interested in the comparative studies of authorships and intertextuality facilitated by the edition's focus on the text as a process and its digital nature.

In 2023, I was elected as a member of "Det Danske Sprog- og Litteraturselskab" ("The Danish Society of Language and Literature"). Until 2020, I worked as a curator at "The Hans Christian Andersen Museum", Museum Odense (formerly Odense City Museums).
