Overview

About

The Public Health Epidemiology Research Group studies the distribution of health and disease in the population, as well as the consequences of disease. Our research particularly focuses on social inequality in health with an emphasis on vulnerable groups, declining mental health, and the increasing number of Danes living with multiple chronic conditions.

The group conducts epidemiological research by examining the distribution and causes of diseases, utilizing the unique opportunities available in Denmark through national registers, which can also be linked with survey data. The group consists of researchers in public health science, sociology, health economics, medicine, and data science, and works to strengthen the understanding of the interplay between social and health-related factors.

The research group also contributes to teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

You can find more detailed descriptions of the group’s work under *Projects* and our publications under *Publications*.
