The purpose of the course Scientific Method is to sharpen the philosophical, critical approach to knowledge that is necessary when synthesizing across disciplines. Furthermore, the course aims to strengthen the problem-oriented approach to project work and the scientific, academic form of documentation. Scientific Method builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in the course Science of Society, Technology and Nature and all previous courses in the bachelor’s program. The course is taught alongside the bachelor’s project, and the skills and competencies gained in this course form an important part of the bachelor’s project.
