The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge of operations research methods with applications in production and logistics. The students develop an understanding and the capabilities of formulating mathematical models according to different assumptions and pre-requisites. We implement these models in standard commercial software. Solutions are found and interpreted. We treat linear programming (simplex and sensitivity analysis), network models, integer and mixed-integer programming, heuristics, stochastics, decision analysis (e.g. AHP) & game theory, as well as queuing and simulation.
