The course introduces central theories, concepts, and methods within the social sciences (political science, sociology, and economics), with a particular focus on how concepts and methods from these disciplines can be applied in historical analyses. The course thereby ensures an expansion of the student’s methodological understanding, which is simultaneously supplemented by the methodological focus in the area courses (electives).
