Description
This in-company project centralizes around the Amfitrack EMF data fusion processes by exploring how EMF measurements from multiple sourcescan increase the accuracy and precision of the system. Through the creation of static and dynamic datasets, modeling of EMF measurement noise in a global environment and the implementation of data fusion through Kalman Filters, a series of outcomes were generated. The project found that the Kalman Filter produced more effective results than any other tested implementation, where fusion was not applied. The evidence produced from the project concluded that Amfitech’s Amfitrack System would be considerably improved, in terms of precision, through Measurement Fusion, and may provide further opportunities for investigation, particularly when considering how ’Dynamic’ and ’Precision over Distance’ testing may further improve outcomes.
