Using GPS, Accelerometer and GIS to Study Physical Activity Behavior

Activity: Talks and presentationsTalks and presentations in private or public companies

Description

Exploring the relation between health behavior and the built environment is a growing field. In order to increase the specificity and validity of measures of behavior, we have developed a method that combines GPS, accelerometer and GIS data. We will present the method and its possibilities to study behavior in its specific context using five days of continuous data from almost 500 adolescents living in Copenhagen. Results will show were participants were active and how they transported themselves.
