Guest scientist at Professor Wulff Lab at UC Davis, California: Learning immunohistochemistry to show potassium channels on biopsies from inflamed mucosa in Ulcerative Colitis

The University of California, Davis (also referred to as UC Davis) is a public teaching and research university established in 1905 and located in Davis, California, USA. The Carnegie Foundation classifies UC Davis as a comprehensive doctoral research university with a medical program, veterinary program, and very high research activity. I visited Professor Wullf’s Lab and got introduced to the world of Immunohistochemistry on different ion-channels. We worked out a protocol to use for my samples from patients with ulcerative colitis. The Wullf lab is a part of the Department of Pharmacology.
