Research Project: New Models for Maintenance of Offshore Wind Farms

Activity: Examination and external supervisionExternal supervisor activities

Description

The purpose of this research is to develop new models for planning, execution and evaluation of maintenance of offshore wind farms under very rough and stochastic weather conditions. Current issues will be identified through case studies and through a survey of data from ten years of operation and maintenance of large offshore wind farms at the North Sea. The new models will be developed and tested through action research collaboratively between the University and Vattenfall
Vindkraft A/S.
Kristian R Petersen is working on the project as a PhD-researcher. Erik Skov Madsen is the main superviser and Arne Bilberg is the co-supervising.
