Contribution to The Philosophy of Science course which is "designed to provide an initial exposure to some fundamental issues regarding how knowledge is created, defended and replaced both in the natural and social sciences for Ph.D students. The seminar will introduce students to classical, critical, and novel philosophies of science, including different schools of positivism, realism, phenomenology, hermeneutics, critical theory, relativism, pragmatism, and post-structuralism. Different ways of knowing will be explored and assessed." For this specific date the students are required to read: Castoriadis, Cornelius. 1984. "Modern science and philosophical interrogation."
