This study is the result of a new research partnership between academic developers at a Chinese and a Danish university. The study includes critical reflections on the applicability of a western conception of inclusive education to a Chinese university context (Leask and Carroll, 2013). The study analyses data from a recent international students’ survey and focus group discussions on their experiences of inclusive teaching, learning and assessment practices at a Chinese university. Diverse factors leading to patterns and discrete findings, inform recommendations for host universities’ face to face and online teaching, learning and assessment when hosting international students.
