Description

The symposium focused on the validation data from different child samples and implementation experiences in Denmark, Lithuania, and Norway of the Odense Child Trauma Screening (OCTS), a story stem screening tool for assessing traumatization in preschool children. Presenters from Denmark presented the development and initial validation of the OCTS (speaker: Sille Schandorph Løkkegaard) and the first round of data collection of normative data for the OCTS (speaker: Mette Alkærsig). Presenters from Lithuania presented preliminary results on the validity of data from general and clinical samples (speaker: Paulina Zelviene). The symposium was finalized with a presentation of the initial validation of the OCTS among children with autism spectrum disorder (speaker: Ask Elklit). Additional international ongoing OCTS projects were also presented throughout the symposium including implementation of the OCTS in child and adolescent psychiatry in Stavanger, Norway as well as translation of the OCTS to four Greenlandic dialects and implementation in Greenlandic child protection services.
