Abstrakt

In this chapter five key role components and talent management practices are examined of a proposed host-country national liaison (HCNL) model affecting foreign subsidiary knowledge management: (1) cultural interpreter, (2) communication manager, (3) information resource broker, (4) talent manager, and (5) internal change agent. Preliminary field research is then presented to begin to validate this model. Recommendations are made for further research in understanding and employing appropriate talent management practices involving HCNLs for improved KM and organizational performance.
