Resumé

This paper gives an overview of a number of key structure formation processes involving the well known biomolecular and nano objects such as fullerenes, nanotubes, polypeptides, proteins and DNA molecules. We formulate the problems, describe the main experimental observations and theoretical advances in the corresponding fields. We demonstrate the interconnection of various dynamic and thermodynamic problems involving very difierent nano and biomolecular systems.
