Funding Information:
Through the research fund, caring science is developed through financial contributions to research. The research fund contributes both travel and research grants. If the mission of the NCCS board is to create a forum for reflection and development of the main knowledge object of caring science, the mission of the research fund is to finance research that develops caring science in relation to both theory and practice. The fund can support caring science knowledge by promoting empirical research and theory development. But also, through studies and projects that address a defined research question or need for theory development. The fund supports caring science by rewarding important, pioneering and innovative studies. In order to support new and creative research in the caring science field, the fund needs to draw attention to projects with unproven and exciting designs and methods.
