Abstract
The aim of the book is a better understanding of how professional knowledge emerges and is mobilized by the mediation of technological infrastructure. Through a theoretical and methodological path development applied to a case of telemedicine, the book offers an interpretative toolbox that allows for decoding the characteristics of the information and communication technology-mediated work.
The book is targeted to who is interested in work from the organizational and social perspective, to ICT experts involved in information systems design, to whom need, run or manage technological infrastructures to support work activities and to all who are interested in understanding the transformation of work in the knowledge society.
