Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) is commonly considered as the heart of cell system . Degradation of the noble metal catalysts in MEAs especially Three-Phase-Boundary (TPB) is a key factor directly influencing fuel cell durability. In this work, electrochemical degradation of Pt and Pt/Ru alloy were studied; tentative reaction mechanism in connection with degradation of perfluorinated sulfonic acid (PFSA) membrane was presented.
