Abstract
At strong coupling, coupled inductor-based double-output boot converters suffer from issues, such as cross-coupling and cross-regulation, especially under varying duty cycles and changing loads. This work delineates the circuit simulation of a double-output boost converter, analyzes how strong coupling affects the dynamics of the converter, and illustrates the time-domain variations with duty cycles and changing loads. The boost converter's performance is evaluated in MATLAB using extensive simulations, with a special emphasis on its capacity to adjust output voltages and respond dynamically to changing operating conditions. In addition, a Type-II compensator is designed to show the importance of closed-loop control in double-output DC-DC converters for effective suppression of cross-coupling and cross-regulation. This research sheds insight on the converter's behavior and demonstrates its appropriateness for practical applications in power electronics.
