Abstract

Plasmonics is commonly explored within local-response classical electrodynamics, while increasing surface-to-volume ratios serve to promote quantum phenomena with implications for quantum plasmonics [1,2]. Means to include quantum corrections range from semiclassical hydrodynamics [3,4] to surface-layer corrections [5,6] and Feibelman corrections determined by ab-initio accounts [7]. Potential experiments probing different quantum-corrected models will be discussed [8,9] and the prospects for quasinormal modes in quantum plasmonics will also be visited [10].
