Pregnancy loss - the possible link to selenium status, polycystic ovary syndrome and uterine malformations. A Ph.d protocol

Abstract

Pregnancy loss occurs in 1 of 4 pregnancies. Aproximately 40 % of losses have normal chromosome amount. The more losses a woman experiences the more likely the fetus is to be healthy indicating maternal causes to pregnancy loss.
This project aims to examine the role of Selenium and thyroid autoimmunity, PCOS, Uterine anomalies - in pregnancy loss.
