Abstract
Networked Learning is an area of research focusing on understanding the qualities, opportunities, and challenges that connections between people and technology bring to learning and knowledge development. Networked Learning is anchored in a strong research tradition and community with an associated conference and book series. Theoretically, networked learning researchers and practitioners draw from multiple theoretical sources such as critical pedagogy, socio-cultural and socio-material theories, as well as postdigital theories. Methodologically, it is a field leaning broadly towards qualitative and action-oriented methodologies. Above all, it is an ever-evolving research community that seeks to develop and continuously challenge the understanding of Networked Learning.
