Abstract

The lifetime behavior of encapsulated 450V polymer Aluminium electrolytic capacitors was measured over ~1800 hours in an aging test under a high temperature of 105°C and a high-voltage of 450V. Leakage current, capacitance, and equivalent series resistance were measured at regular intervals throughout the study and show a successful implementation of two different additives containing Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT: PSS)
