Cognitive semantics is a part of cognitive science, which has developed rapidly since 1980. The report presents the repercussions of this research in cognitive poetics. The original part of the report consists in a presentation and discussion on the consequnces of this development for literature instruction and the development of literature didaktik. Literary studies need new legitimations and the proposal of the report is that one such legitimation should be found in the development of cognitive and social semiotics: Literature instruction on a more scientific base.
