Abstract
Medical abortion with combined mifepristone and misoprostol is a highly effective, safe, and widely used method for medical termination of pregnancy. In this review, it is shown that self-testing with a urine human chorionic gonadotropin stix (detection limit > 25 IU/l) four weeks after administration of medication is a safe, practical, and cheap method to determine successful termination.
