Abstrakt

This paper takes its starting point in research stating that research in project management and in innovation has been unconnected but is now converging. We analyse this convergence in a dataset of 527 articles published from 2010 to 2019 researching application of project management thinking to manage innovation projects. We analyse by application of bibliometric methods; bibliographical coupling to find authors that build on the same works; co-author networks to see who have written together; and co-word analysis to learn about the topics and their relationships. Based on the results, we conclude to which extent a convergence has taken place and we give information on research topics in the field. Finally, we suggest avenues of future research.
