Collective states in 191Ir and 193Ir have been studied by inelastic scattering of 7.0 MeV and 12.1 MeV deuterons and 16.6 MeV α-particles. In each nucleus four members of a ground state rotational band were seen. States observed at 684 keV (191Ir), respectively 620 keV (193Ir), are interpreted as being K = K0+2 γ-vibrational states. The K = K0-2 members are represented by the low-lying 1 2+ bands which contain also the 1 2+ state coupled to the 3 2+ ground state bands. Reduced excitation probabilities, rotational parameters and decoupling constants are derived.
