Abstract
The aim of this experiment is to examine whether visualized interventions can persuade people to save electricity. To do so, we placed signs in classrooms on Campus Sønderborg of the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) to encourage students and staff to turn off TVs and video projectors. Data were collected over a period of two weeks, before and after placing the interventions. The analysis of the results shows that a significant number of electronic devices were turned off after the implementation of interventions. Thus, we concluded that visualized interventions can be an effective way to induce a more sustainable behavior.
