Abstract
—The main usage of conducting polymer electrolytic capacitors (CP e-caps) have been limited to low voltage applications due to low breakdown voltage. Recent developments have pushed the operating voltage of PEDOT:PSS-based Al e-caps to 400V allowing this technology to be used as DC-link in power converters in electrical vehicles. The results preceded in this paper shows that it is possible to push these limits even further to operating voltages in the range of 450V-500V.
