    Resumé

    Reaction of dmit‐salts 2 and bis‐alkylating agents leads to macrocycles annelated to a 1,3‐dithiole‐2‐thione ring. Intermolecular coupling of monomers MC[n,1] leads to TTF‐crowns of type A whereas intramolecular coupling of dimers MC[n,2] gives TTF‐cages of type B. The complex formation of type A and B host molecules with alkali metal ions is discussed.
