Abstrakt

The ethnomethodological and conversationalist program realizes a shift in the sociological field by respecifying the notion of social order . We argue that this acception is particularily relevant to account for human / animal interactions. At the same time, this program proposes new methodological and analytical tools that enable detailed empirical descriptions of interspecies interactions. The aim of this article is twofold and couples a theoretical presentation of the main lines of the ethnomethodological thought with a discussion of some empirical works on human / animal interaction.
