Abstract

Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. To assess the benefits and harms of electroconvulsive therapy for an acute affective episode (hypomania, mania, mixed state or depression) in children, adolescents, adults and older people with bipolar disorder.
