Abstract
The complete collection of Swiss professor of botany Joachim Wattendorff,
born in the small Westphalian town of Borghorst, consists of more than
5,000 samples, considerably enriching the Herbarium (MSTR) in the LWLMuseum
für Naturkunde (Museum of Natural History) in Münster, Germany.
Over the past few years, samples which Wattendorff collected in Westphalia
as well as in the Alps and in the Mediterranean region have been reviewed
and curated. A first overview of the collection as a whole is provided.
