Abstract

Innovation ecosystems are very interesting for collaborative innovation leadership among independent and yet interdependent enterprises to pursue the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2030. Enhanced insight and understanding are provided through participatory action research within two cases in the Offshore wind energy ecosystems in Northern Europe.
The findings reveal the importance for participants to reveal the value proposition at ecosystem level. Next the heterogeneous knowledge domains and heterogeneous behaviour of participants are important to make future sense of needed activities to pursue the UN SDGs.
A short-term challenge is present from possible reduced revenue from the collaborative innovation leadership suggestions in own enterprise. This needs to be collaborative addressed to make the suggestions more robust long-term. The findings are summarized and shown in a model for insight, understanding and dissemination of collaborative innovation leadership in innovation ecosystems to pursue UN SDG in practice.
