Abstract
Pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) is a new treatment option in patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC). PIPAC has proven efficacious in the treatment of PC from ovarian, colon and gastric cancer. PIPAC has a favourable profile regarding safety for patients and occupational health aspects. This study reviews the current evidence of PIPAC as a step towards implementation and evaluation in Denmark.
