Abstract

This paper introduces a new concept of on-board single-camera image analysis and navigation-planning for autonomous flying vehicles. The aim of this research is to find and evaluate a robust navigation method for indoor flight, that can be realized via active camera and a field programmable gate array (FPGA) and can be used in indoor search and rescue scenarios.
