Abstrakt

“Turning waste into treasure,” one of nature's most attractive abilities, inspires scientists to develop advanced synthetic strategies for various applications. In a recent article from Chem Catalysis, Tan and co-workers demonstrate such a “turning” strategy, whereby they design three multi-enzyme cascade pathways to convert methanol into valuable C2/C4 compounds.
