Abstract
Although switched-mode Electronic Loads (E-Loads) are commonly used in different applications, they are facing particular limitations especially for higher frequency purposes. While increasing the switching frequency in switched-mode E-Loads enables them to operate at high frequencies, simply rising the switching frequency might not be an efficient approach in terms of design issues, device limitations, electromagnetic noise problems and also complicated gate drive designs. To deal with these obstacles, a novel electronic load based on analog techniques is proposed in this paper. First of all, different parts of the proposed design are introduced in detail. Then, LTspice as a powerful software in analog circuits modeling is employed to simulate the suggested circuit. Analysis and assessment of simulation results present the effectiveness of the proposed E-Load. In the last step, to validate this concept, an experimental set-up is implemented and the results are shown.
