Abstract
To identify herbivorous grazing species and record their occurrence frequency in a nori Neopyropia yezoensis and an ao-nori Ulva linza seaweed farm, we conducted observation studies using three types of camera. A time-lapse camera (TLC200Pro) and an intermittent video camera (Raspberry pi) were used to record the occurrence and behavior of fish, while a 3G camera (TREL3G) that can send images via e-mail was used to monitor the occurrence of ducks. The factors that affected the occurrence frequency of ducks were also examined. The occurrence and feeding-like behavior of ducks Anas spp. and black sea bream Acanthopagrus schlegelii were frequently recorded in the nori farm, and those of mullet Mugil cephalus were recorded in the ao-nori farm. There was a strong autocorrelation in the daily total number of ducks, and once they occurred, they tended to continue the following day.
