Beskrivelse
The project if financed by a grant from Læge Sofus Carl Emil Friis og Hustru Olga Doris Friis' Legat
In the absence of regulatory guidance, GPs facing resource constraints are forced to increase efficiency and/or ration care on their own accord. However, little is known about the clinical strategies GPs employ when faced with these constraints. The objective of this project is to investigate whether GPs' resource constraints lead to long-term inefficiencies in the provided care for the individual patient and/or society. As GPs offer a large range of services and serve patient groups with different socio-economic backgrounds, it is of great interest to explore which types of services that receive lower prioritisation, and whether specific socio-economic patient groups are particularly affected when GPs lack sufficient resources. Our aim is therefore to disclose the potential "hidden" costs of resource constraints.
