We study the possibility for improvements in health professional's communication and teamwork skills after their participation in on site simulation training course tailored to their ward. Project collaborators are SDU, Odense University Hospital and Sygehus Sønderjylland Aabenraa. The project focuses on tracking qualitative changes in health professional's medicine handling during and after simulation training at four different hospital wards. The project framework is action research and phenomenology, with cognitive video ethnography as the primary method. Video data from before, during and after training at the wards is analyzed with qualitative cognitive methods. Communication errors comprises up to 80% of all hospital errors and the SimLEARN project aim at reducing this communication errors through better staff training.
