Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

The LAVA project builds on the previous research project Everyday Violence and aims to investigate the long-term and complex interplay between workplace violence, mental health outcomes, and occupational factors.

LAVA seeks to address the following research questions:
• What are the long-term effects of workplace violence on the development of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms and burnout over a five-year period?
• How do symptoms of PTSD and burnout influence each other in the aftermath of workplace violence across the same five-year timespan?
• Which occupational factors have protective or aggravating effects on the long-term development of PTSD and burnout symptoms in individuals exposed to workplace violence?

The project's findings will enhance our understanding of how workplace violence contributes to mental health challenges over time and will identify key work environment factors that may either mitigate or exacerbate this trajectory. Distinct from earlier studies, LAVA employs a longitudinal design to capture the dynamics of these complex interactions across an extended time frame.
