Projekter: ProjektForskning

Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

The purpose of this project is to provide new knowledge of U.S. military innovation and its impact on NATO, and relatedly, to open new theoretical lines of inquiry into military innovation pathways in alliances. The purpose is also to layer this new knowledge into a network of American and Danish research and policy institutions that the principal investigator (PI), Sten Rynning, will engage in the course of the
research. The occasion for the project is the U.S. desire to build a competitive edge vis-a-vis China, specifically with its Defense Innovation Initiative, and the risk of an Atlantic military transformation gap that it entails. It is also a partnership between
the PI and American University's School of International Service, Washington DC, where the PI has been offered to become Scholar in Residence and network with AU
researchers. This partnership promises to significantly advance the project and also generate networks of benefit to the PI's home institution in Denmark.
