Beskrivelse

Few scientific studies have examined how daily physical activity is affected by total (TKA) or unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) and how it might affect rehabilitation. It is unknown if a focus on increased physical activity in everyday life after return from hospital might improve rehabilitation and patient satisfaction. The aim of this RCT trial nested in a prospective cohort is to (a) investigate whether PA following TKA or UKA can be optimized using an activity tracking device including motivational feedback in comparison with activity tracking without feedback and (b) the predictive value of PA level prior to TKA/UKA for the length of stay, return to work, and quality of life.
