Beskrivelse
The Danish-German border region is a pioneer when it comes to developing and distributing energy efficient energy solutions for the modern society. These solutions call for new technologies since limited resources in a globalised world require a radical mind shift in energy production and consumption. Devices made of organic materials such as solar cells and LEDs hold a strong potential in this direction. They possess entirely new characteristics compared to those materials that are available today: mechanical flexibility, light weight, low costs, and semi-transparency. This opens up for radically new fields of application such as, e.g., in smart windows or wearable technology devices.
