Background
Childhood trauma-exposure is one of the strongest predictors of ICD-11 posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (CPTSD). It is important to discover childhood traumatization and deliver appropriate interventions to prevent the development of trauma-related mental health disorders.
Purpose
- To develop, translate and validate valid measures of ICD-11 PTSD and CPTSD among children and adolescents
Design
Data from clinical assessments in the Danish Children Centers from different age groups are used for validation of the International Trauma Questionnaire – Children and Adolescent version and the Darryl Cartoon Measure for ICD-11 PTSD and CPTSD
