    Beskrivelse

The project is funded by The International Development Research Centre, Canada via Carleton University. It focuses on gendering of public transportation by vehicle interior design in the context of Turkey. The project reveals how the material interaction between the women users and the vehicle interior mediates women's experiences of (risk of) sexual harassment. The overall aim of the project is to explore how and to what extent designers can translate a social (and structural) problem into a design problem, and can contribute to its solution.
