Danish Participation in IEA IETS Task XXI Subtasks 4 & 5: Carbon Dioxide Capture in Industry and Facilitation of Industrial Symbiosis

IEA IETS Task XXI Subtasks 4 and 5 support the decarbonization of industrial systems within a circular economy context through structured knowledge exchange and systematization of best practices. Subtask 4 focuses on documenting and comparing national strategies, value chains, and integration challenges related to industrial carbon dioxide capture. Subtask 5 addresses the facilitation of industrial symbiosis by collecting, classifying, and disseminating existing tools and readiness frameworks that enable resource sharing across industrial actors. The Danish participation, led by SDU in collaboration with DTU, contributes digital, analytical, and system-level perspectives to support non-commercial knowledge sharing and informed industrial transformation.
