Beskrivelse
The CUHiED project is a joint collaboration between Danfoss and The University of Southern Denmark. The project develops and demonstrates new ultrahigh efficiency power converter concepts in variable speed electrical drives by exploiting new advanced power electronics technologies. In particular, wide bandgap semiconductors (GaN, SiC), advanced topologies, low loss passives and state of the art control methods will be employed to reduce energy losses in power conversion by up to 50%. This implies additional global energy savings of around 6.5 TWh/year.
